Traffic stand still on Benin-Ore expressway

Today, the people of Ondo state decide on whom their next Governor will be, and even though Ondo is just one out of 36 states in Nigeria, the effect of the on going elections in the state  is one that some Nigerians, particularly some of us who are presently stuck on the Benin Ore express way are not finding funny at all.

Moreso this is a federal road leading to several states for Pete's sake,it should have been announced on the media so people would know better than to ply that route today. Both sides of the expressway have been barricaded and the level of chaos on ground is unexplainable.

The Federal Express way leading to other states have being blocked resulting in a life threatening traffic jam on Benin Ore Express way. As we speak, it's being confirmed that a Woman with a baby, said to have collapsed has lost her child; cause of the child's death being exhaustion. All shapes and manners of cars are on stand still under the scorching sun, with no where to get water or any thirst quenching liquid due of the curfew in the state.

More than 5 persons are reported to have fainted.I just hope officials help to rectify the situation in good time, and advice anyone planning to embark on a journey via this route to stay clear till further notice.

My question is,what gave Ondo state the effontery to block the federal Benin-Ore expressway?
