BLOCKING COLOURS – A cue from the Rainbow

The colour blocking craze started a few years back and has shown no sign of slowing down. It is a combination of two or more solid blocks of colour in a single outfit. It’s youthful, breezy and captivating especially if well done. The most important advantage of this colour combination scheme is that it gives a boost of positive energy not just to the person wearing it but also to the eyes around. Research has also shown that people who have fun colours on are more attractive to other people than those in drape colours. It’s just a fact of life all things bright and beautiful, the conservative days are long gone. In case you don’t know how to start with the colour combo, lets that a cue from the RAINBOW.

The rainbow consists of seven colours which are RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, INDIGO, and VIOLET. Each one of these colours has been reported to either have an underline meaning or abstract representation.

Red (fire)stands for Vitality, Orange(red+yellow) stands for creative energy, Yellow(Sunflower) stands for wisdom, Green (yellow+blue)stands for nature, example is in green apples and grass, Blue (oceans, skies) stands for spirituality, Indigo(deeper blue) stands for infinity and lastly Violet (red+blue) is the highest level of spiritual mastery.

So now that you have an idea of what these colours are and what they stand for, start blocking. Simply pick the colours you favour and layer them considerably. Peradventure you are not brave enough to pull the colours on your clothes then play safe by accessorizing. Whatever you decide on let the sunlight in!!!
